How is your organization celebrating World Interfaith Harmony Week? The first week in February is in honor of peace and understanding among diverse faiths. You can read more about it here.
This year, the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council (SiVIC), a URI Cooperation Circle, is partnering with the Compassion Games‘ Interfaith League to bring the UN World Interfaith Harmony Week Coopetition to life.
Ways to celebrate include an interfaith gathering, an interfaith collaboration, an interfaith game, an interfaith action of kindness, an interfaith action of peace, an interfaith dialogue, an interfaith dance, an interfaith publication, an interfaith research paper, an interfaith concert, or an interfaith annual gathering. you might even participate in the Souper Bowl by collecting as many containers of soup as possible to fill food banks.
If you really get creative, UN World Interfaith Harmony Week offers awards of $25,000, $15,000, and $5,000 (x2) for participating groups and teams whose compassionate actions in the world are a beacon of hope, and are making positive change toward peace, harmony, and tolerance between peoples of all faith traditions.
